The Furman Rugby Stadium
Furman’s rugby stadium was constructed in 2008 and is the finest rugby-only university facility in the Southeast. John Roberts Field, named after the Paladin’s Rugby Coach, was originally constructed as a training field for the Atlanta Falcons, an NFL team that formerly held summer camps at Furman. John Roberts Field hosted the Rugby South College Championship Final Four Tournaments from 2003-06. In July 2008, the rugby pitch hosted Clermont, a French professional rugby team, during a weeklong training camp. Campers will also train on state-of-the art
Predator Rugby Scrum Machine.
