Furman Rugby Camp
The Furman Rugby Camp was established in 2009, with the mission to foster youth rugby development, good sportsmanship and camaraderie. The camp is held annually at Furman University in Greenville, SC, and hosts both residential and day campers. This year's camp will be held June 26-30, 2013. Registration is now open.
Furman offers substantial rugby scholarships to rugby athletes. Some of these scholarships will exceed six figures over four years. If you would like to be considered for these generous grants, make an investment in attending the camp. While there you will have an opportunity to get to know Coach Roberts and can also meet with Furman admission counselors and receive a campus tour.
University of Tennessee Coach Marty Bradley and Clemson Coach Justin Hickey headlined last year's coaching staff. The Volunteers have advanced the USA Rugby Div I-AA Final Four and Clemson completed the season with a 6-1 record and were runner up in the Atlantic Coastal Conference. The Tigers narrowly missed receiving an at large bid to the USA Rugby Div I-AA Sweet 16 Tournament.
The Furman camp is more than a rugby clinic. It is a campus experience. While learning from some of the top coaches, participants get a small sampling of college life. They will enjoy living in the dorms (if they are residential campers) and experience one of most beautiful college campuses in the nation.
